We're named after the loaf.
Specifically, after our cat Gary. She's three, hyperactive, yet she'll still fold herself into a loaf on anything that stays still long enough. The sofa. The stairs. A warm laptop.
A little bit about us
Cats only loaf when nothing's bothering them.
That's the bit we care about. Loafy's core mission is to create products to provide comfort for cats.
Our story
We couldn't fix her legs. So we fixed her bowl.
Two cats are behind Loafy's. Gary gave it the name. Soxy gave it the reason.
Soxy's thirteen now. There's a version of her that only exists in old videos, tearing across the room, taking the sofa in one jump. Two years ago an illness took most of the strength in her back legs. Even breakfast turned into work. She'd fold herself down to a bowl on the floor, stiff and careful, and eat like the food was something to reach rather than something to enjoy.
Nobody told us to raise her bowl. We tried it because we'd run out of other ideas. She stood more naturally. She stopped straining. She wasn't cured. She was comfortable.
We couldn't do anything about her legs. We could do something about her bowl, so we did. Ceramic, tilted, steady, made properly.
Who it's for
For cats who've earned a bit of help.
Older cats first. The ones who've been around the longest. If your cat has started lowering herself to her bowl carefully, this was made for her. It suits any cat who struggles to eat off the floor: a cat recovering from surgery, a cat with fewer teeth than she used to have, a big or long-bodied cat whose whiskers press the sides of a normal bowl.
Comfort, not cures
We're never going to tell you our products will fix what's wrong with your cat. They've made Soxy more comfortable. That's the honest version, and it's the only one we'll give you. If yours seems unwell, we always urge cats to visit the vet
Made properly, not just raised
Most raised bowls are a cheap dish on a taller stand. We spent the time on the parts you can't see in a photo. The material, the angle, the shape of the base. It should work for your cat and still look like something you want in your kitchen.
For the cats the aisle forgets
Walk through a pet shop and it's all toys and things on strings, aimed at kittens. The cats who've been in the family longest get a shelf of senior food and not much else. We build for them.

One named the brand. One is the reason it exists.

Three years old, one speed. Supervises breakfast from the counter most mornings, loafing, contributing nothing. Uses a raised bowl by choice rather than need.
Soxy
The reason we started
Thirteen, and retired from jumping on furniture. Her bowl is the one we set out to get right. She's living with family now, taking it easy, which she's earned.
